RapidM is at the forefront of HF Radio Data Modem, ALE and HF e-mail technology. Our company provides real-world solutions for man-pack, naval and airborne HF radio products. The applicable standards are STANAG 4539, FED-STD-1049, FED-STD-1045, STANAG 4538, STANAG 4285, MIL-STD-188-110B, MIL-STD-188-110A, STANAG 5066, MIL-STD-188-141B and MIL-STD-188-141A.

Standalone HF Radio Data Modems

RapidM specialises in the development of HF radio modems, which complies to MIL-STD-188-110B and STANAG 4539, which are able to transfer data over significant distances (10 000 kilometres and more) without any fixed infrastructure by bouncing data off of the Earth's ionosphere. The HF radio modems are capable of achieving data rates of up to 9600 bits per second. End users include military organisations and government organisations requiring satellite independent world-wide communications such as users within NGOs, the mining and mineral exploration sector, geographical survey companies, the commercial fishing industry, civil and military defense organisations, emergency services, transportation companies, the tourist and recreation industry and remote communities.

Standalone ALE Controller

The 2G ALE Controller, which complies to MIL-STD-188-141A and FED-STD 1045, is embedded in the RM6 unit and can be activated after installing the appropriate RapidM license key.

Embedded ALE allows linking with other HF stations without operater intervention. A number of frequencies can be used to overcome variable HF propagation conditions.

HF Modem Modules

These embedded modules combine awesome processing power and massive memory (32 Mbytes) with the real-world constraints of low-power, MIL temperature range, small size and standardised interfaces. RapidM offers Engineering Services to customise this technology for the specific needs of a radio product range.
