2 Positions

Position: Embedded DSP Software Development Engineer
Tertiary Education Requirements: BEng Electronic Engineering or Better  
Industry exposure required: 3 - 5 years work experience  
 

 Knowledge and experience required / preferred:

Analysis of software requirements
Embedded software design and implementation
Excellent Digital Signal Processing Qualifications
Excellent C++ knowledge and development experience
Experience with Real-Time implementation of Digital Communications systems
Experience with Texas Instruments DSP Processors and tool chain
Experience with TI’s DSP BIOS (Real-Time Operating System)
Experience in software design development and testing
 

Other skills/abilities:

Interpersonal communication Software quality assurance processes
DSP simulation tools Communication protocols
Principles of secure systems    
 

The position comprises of low-level DSP modem software development on a ruggedized PDA using the TI DSPBIOS OS:

Documentation standard for test procedures
Embedded software design and implementation
Embedded Linux knowledge and development experience
Experience in software development and testing
Experience with automated test procedures
Experience with qualification test procedures
Experience with Quality standards and management
Experience with Software Maintenance and Engineering Change procedures
 

Other skills/abilities:

Have the ability to uncover faults in a system Interpersonal communication
Appreciation of how system requirements translate to value Be of an inquisitive nature
The ability to understand how the product solve the client’s problems
 

The position comprises of testing an embedded system on a proprietary ruggedized PDA

POST: Technical Sales Engineer

2 Positions

Position: Technical Sales Engineer
Tertiary Education Requirements: BEng Computer Engineering or better  
  BEng Electronic Engineering or Better  
Industry exposure required: 3 - 5 years work experience  
 

 Responsibilities:
Manage and support the sales channel to successfully win new business
Identify new opportunities
Provide technical support (pre- and post sales)
Provide product advice to potential customers
Provide training to new and existing customers
Tailoring solutions to match customer needs
Management of key client accounts
Meeting regular sales targets and coordinating sales projects
Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs.
 

General Knowledge and experience required / preferred: 

Experience with requirement analysis    
Experience in technical sales / support    
Knowledge of hardware schematic design and debugging    
Knowledge of embedded software design and implementation
Knowledge of the principles of radio communications (both data & voice)
Software quality assurance processes
