Customized Embedded or PC Modem Software

For clients requiring embedded software solutions, the RapidM HF Radio Data Modem and ALE (2G ALE & 3G ALE) functions are available as small-footprint embedded software modules, which are customized for specific hardware and interface requirements. RapidM can assist with integration into the existing software structure.

This option is ideal for upgrading existing radios or Software Defined Radio developments. Several world-leading radio makers are using our HF Radio Modem and ALE software in presently fielded radios, which run into thousands.

The performance and functionality is determined by the available computational and memory resources.

The waveform software is compliant with MIL-STD-188-110A, MIL-STD-188-110B, STANAG 4539, STANAG 4415, STANAG 4285, STANAG 4529 and STANAG 4481 . Selective tone excision and sync-on-data capability is included as a standard. The ALE software is compliant with MIL-STD-188-141A and MIL-STD-188-141 Appendix A and Appendix B (Linking Protection) The 3G ALE implementation is compliant with STANAG 4538 and supports Burst Waveforms 0-7, CLC, FLSU/FTM, ACS, RLSU, LP, ALM, HDL, LDL and HDL+. Various processors are supported.

Customized ARQ and E-mail Software

RapidM can provide clients customised PC and embedded STANAG 5066 and HF E-mail Components. This software is compliant with STANAG 5066.

RapidM's embedded software for STANAG 5066 runs in a mature HF radio product range including man-pack, vehicle and base station radios. Interoperability of other HF E-mail solutions has been tested extensively. The HF E-mail Client PC software supports this range and is interoperable with standardized STANAG 5066 software.

For radio makers that would like to add advanced HF data modem & ALE capabilities to their existing HF radio product range, we can customise the small form factor TC6 and TC4 HF Data Modem Module in the form of a plug-in option board for the radio.
