The RCSC-PCIe Synchronous Serial Card is a robust PC-based interface card designed to support NATO defence communications protocols, specifically STANAG 5066 and STANAG 4691, which require synchronous serial communication interfaces. This dual-port data communication equipment (DCE) device leverages the PCI Express (PCIe) expansion bus standard.
Equipped with both high-speed asynchronous and synchronous serial communication interfaces, the RCSC-PCIe features two RS-232 serial ports that support data rates of up to 384 kbps for synchronous communication and up to 460.8 kbps for asynchronous communication. Based on Altera FPGA technology, the card ensures maximum reliability for data-intensive applications. The card is accompanied by software drivers and utilities that simplify installation and operation on both Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
PCI Express X1 Compliant
The synchronous card (MD1 size) comes with both full-size or low-profile brackets, accommodating PCs with space constraints.
RMSC-PCIe Synchronous PCIe card can be used with standard serial Cryptos.
The DLL enables the user application to set and retrieve configuration information from the RCSC-PCIe. It allows the application to manage settings, obtain information from the synchronous card and clear file buffers. Additionally, it facilitates reading and writing data to and from the card.
The Synchronous PCIe Serial Card comes with a setup application compatible with Windows 7 or Linux. This application installs the serial card driver and interface DDL on the user's system. A Windows 7 or Linux RHED6 application can interface with the synchronous card through the API provided by the interface DLL.
