The RM8 sets the global benchmark for the 3G ALE (STANAG 4538 ACRCS) standard, offering a comprehensive range of HF data modem waveforms. It includes advanced features like 3G ALE scanning, channel selection, link setup, linking protection, and XDL packet data when integrated with naval or strategic HF transceiver equipment.
Ideal for long-distance point-to-point data links, the RM8 is suited for both land-based and ship-borne installations. It fits into 19-inch rack equipment and can accommodate up to two units within a single 1U slot.
Targeted at naval and government end-users, the RM8 provides a high-performance, flexible solution for long-distance (BLOS) strategic and maritime data communications using HF transceiver equipment.
The RM8’s functionality is determined by selecting one of the following software packs:
- M1: LF and HF Modem (SSB, ISB, Up to 19200 bps)
- M2: HF Modem (SSB, Up to 9600 bps)
Additionally, the following ALE software options are available for use with M1 and M2:
- 2G ALE Controller Software Option
- 3G ALE Controller Software Option
