TacPoint is a situational awareness application that aids commanders in operational theatre visualisation and communication. This software can is used as a self-contained field-portable digital view to the battlefield edge. It allows rapid and intelligent control of the battlefield for company and platoon-level commanders. TacPoint has been designed to run on a touchscreen tablet PC or laptop computer running a Windows operating system. Positions of RT devices and other points are overlaid on an image and vector map and combined with easy-to-use chat messaging to individuals or all members of the group. The intuitive interface can be used for navigation and coordination.

Messaging: TacPoint users can easily communicate via threaded chat messages. Files can be transferred and even emails can be composed. A collection of template-based forms provides an easy, structured way to send reports such as ATTACK ALERT, CASEVAC, MEDEVAC, SITRAP, OBSREP, METREP, COIN ALET, LZ REP and many more. Delivery status of messages is indicated to the user.
